Just a thought about Paul Newman (still alive to some!): doesn't his bright and shining example refute the idea that celebrities are just overpaid, oversexed bozos who should stay out of politics and leave it to the 'professionals?' Before Bono (and I don't mean Sonny) was out of diapers, there was the peerless Paul.
