Hatin' on Casinos

Gambling is probably not the easiest issue to run an attack ad on, since there are lots of different constituencies lined up on both sides of the issue. And there's not internal consistency in the two camps either: reasons for opposing or being upset with the gambling industry vary a lot. There are the Christian right folks who oppose it on moral grounds; the labor groups who don't like greedy casino management; the people who think Indians are getting a free ride; and then there are people like me who just don't want Sheldon Adelson to acquire any more money.

Anyway I'm not really sure how this ad is going to help in swing states -- and it's almost assuredly not going to help in places like Nevada and Florida.
