While Obama certainly benefits from the sudden spotlighting of the economy, the real winner in some sense is Ron Paul... to paraphrase the old joke, Ron Paul predicted five out of the last three financial collapses!

If this crisis had occurred nine months ago, could Paul have somehow pulled off the Republican nomination?
